Punk rock band from the United States originally formed in 1989 as a part-time side project by lead singer, Dave Smalley with help from Dave Naz and Ed Urlik of the Chemical People. The band's popularity soon meant that Smalley took Down By Law on as a full time career and, after replacing the members of the Chemical People with a full-time line up the band have gone from strength to strength, having released several albums for Epitaph Records and Go-Kart Records and touring the world several times over.
