Drago Britvić was a Croatian poet, songwriter and journalist (Pitomača, 6. july 1935 - Zagreb, 2005), For many years he worked at Radio Zagreb and the HTV (Croatian televison) as music director. In 1966 he founded the Kajkavian Song Festival (Festival kajkavske popevke) in Krapina and was active in its organisation for 10 years. He received numerous festival awards. Britvić wrote over 700 poems, 600 of them became song lyrics, the most famous are "Mirno teku rijeke", «Zvona moga grada» "Potraži me u predgrađu", "Kockar", "Milioner", "Proplakat će zora", "Pod starim krovovima", «Bože čuvaj Hrvatsku», «Maslina je neobrana». He startet writing songs and poems at High school, some were published at that time in the local paper "Virovitički list".
