DRAXXIS was formed in 1985 in a house basement in Logansport (Pennsylvania, United States). The original members of the band were as follows: Melvin Shearer (vocalist), Daniel Kuhta (rhythm & lead guitars), Bill Kuhta (bass),Greg Gladysiewesky (rhythm and lead guitars and back up vocals), Chuck Wagner (drums & percussion). The band played and practiced over the course of two years when the musicians of the band thought it would be best to replace the vocalist and started auditioning people for the position. It was back then when the band found its new vocalist Paul Revay in 1987, which is the one who is singing on all of the band’s recorded material to date. DRAXXIS then proceeded to play outdoor concerts, metal militia’s, and also continued practicing and learning new material to perform. Then, on 1989, they finally decided to choose four of their best songs to take with them to the studio to be recorded onto their first demo, which are now the very same four songs that were recorded and released on the DRAXXIS demo cassette of 1989. DRAXXIS through much diversity eventually disbanded in 1990 due to money, time and family affairs and has never reunited to this very day. All members of the band still play their instruments for hobby and also for the remembrance of the once great and talented Heavy Metal band forever known as DRAXXIS! 26 years after the disband, that stuff re-released for the first time on vinyl, including the original demo tracks plus four live basement 1987 recordings. All members of the band have now families, children and day jobs which accounts for the majority of all their free time in their day to day lives. Also, all the members of the band still live within a reasonable proximity of one another and they occasionally bump into one another, face to face, or through social media links.
