Dark Industrial music for the chemically altered Influenced by bands such as Skinny Puppy, Coil, Depeche Mode, Nine Inch Nails & HauJobb, the Engel brothers began their sound mutation in 1992 near Atlanta, Georgia. After collecting enough gear and delving into rictusurgic sample creation, Dripping Rictus moved to New Orleans in search of a more appropriate music scene. While there, the band unleashed their first full release, Corporeal Addiction, under the newly established record label, Laudanum. Now relocated to Chicago, Dripping Rictus has released two 3-song singles and participated on two compilation CD’s. They’ve found the scene they were looking for and, through favorable reception, are preparing a second album as well as a tour. This dark-electronic duo, brothers Christopher & Jeremy Engel, are one of the scene's best kept secrets, Dripping Rictus has enjoyed international press coverage in hard-copy magazines such as OUTBURN and Germany's ZILLO. Drawing from an expanse of influences that include Skinny Puppy, Coil, Pink Floyd & Depeche Mode, Dripping Rictus fleshes out a unique sound that is accessible, yet deeply & mysteriously layered.
