Društveni Orkestar Hrvatskog Glazbenog Zavoda (Društveni Orkestar HGZ-a, engl. Amateur Orchestra of the Croatian Music Association) was founded as a 26-member amateur orchestra under guidance of the HGZ (Croatian Music Association) in 1827, Zagreb, Croatia. Since that time the orchestra remained active and performes on regular basis on the national but also international scene. Društveni Orkestar HGZ was awarded numerous awards for amateur music-activity. The HGZ guides also an Amateur-Jazz-Orchestra, Amateur-Chamber-Choir and Amateur-Chamber-Orchestra.
