Dutch jungle/d&b and breakbeat DJ/producer. His fascination with music in general began at an early age. His dad, an early 70s Soul/Motown head himself, made sure music was an important factor in the household. This developed into an interest for all sorts of musical genres spanning from Soul, Funk, early electronica, to psychedelic rock and more. As a DJ he started with spinning early house music, then championing darker, more bass heavy rave which went on to become known as jungle and drum and bass. His skills behind the decks rival his studio talents and he delights fans with an educated blend of old school classics and fresh new beats. Always one to stay true to his roots, he has a unique ability to bring his trademark underground sound to a audience He also been making waves in the studio, his music has retained a timeless appeal and brings together beats and bass in classic yet inimitable style. Ethereal atmospheres, crisp breaks and sublime bass rhythms are hallmarks of a sound Drummotive has made his own. Not afraid to stray from the beaten track, he is also working on various non-drum and bass projects.
