DuChamp is an Italian scientist, musician and curator based in Berlin religiously devoted to drone. Drone is related to a precise childhood memory: the sound of the hair dryer, that her mother used to fix her hair. That was the sound of care, bliss, and infinite love. She made her debut as solo on Aug 22 2010, and performed several time in Italy, Germany, Belgium, Turkey, Poland and in the US West Cost where she played with Concern, Freemountain Pulsewave, Kevin Greespoon, Jeffrey Alexander, Jacky O Motherfucker and Ensemble Economique. DuChamp uses different instruments (bass guitar, baritone guitar, keyboard, accordion) to find the closer one to the hair dryer she have in her memory. She have recorded her first solo album “NAR” with Diego Ferri, mastered by Brain Pyle, has been released on Apr 14th 2013 from Boring Machines. Her new material will be released as a split with Felicia Atkisons on Idiosycratics label and on Kitchen Leg records. DuChamp plays also with Will Gresson in Fausto Maijstral (out for La Station Radar), she´s one of the Bras of the girl pop band with attitude Brabrabra (out for Kitchen Leg records) and she´s currently involved in a no wave Chrome like project named Sacco e Vanzetti with her same age brother Mic Roma, plus in a doom band (Mourning Star), and in a very free form band called The Roman Catholics. She’s the (sweet) half of the Berlin tape label Kitchen Leg records, that produces so far colorful and soundful tapes from Brabrabra, BeMyDelay and Ruins of Krüger. As curator, she organize gigs for artists she loves and, together with her everlasting partner Alice Cannava´, she is the co-curator of Occultofest. As scientist, she works on NMR biosensors.
