Dubmatique is a Canadian Hip Hop group formed in 1992 in Montreal. The groups original line up consisted of OTMC, Disoul (Jérôme-Philippe), and Dj Choice. They were the first French language Hip Hop group from Canada to have a number one hit single on Canada's francophone pop charts. They have released four albums: "La force de comprendre" in 1997, the self titled "Dubmatique" in 1998, "Influences" in 2001 and "Trait d'union" in 2009. "La force de comprendre" is certified platinum, and "Dubmatique" is certified gold. All four albums have charted on major radio stations, received rave reviews, and were nominated at the French Canadian equivalent of the "Grammy Awards" called "Le Gala de L'ADISQ". The awards they won included "Group of the Year", "Best Rock Alternative Album" (Their first year at "Le Gala de L'ADISQ", they didn't have a Hip Hop section), and "Best Hip Hop Album" twice.
