"The release of this album marks the culmination of six years work, producing the recordings that make up the Strathglass Trilogy. Affric marks the end of a long and fascinating journey for me, a journey of musical introspection during which I drew inspiration from one of the world's most beautiful wilderness areas. My history drew me there and I felt compelled to produce soundtracks to these places that I have loved all my life. This has been my attempt to capture their colour and their magic in music. My thanks go to everyone involved in assisting me along the way..."
