Spoken Word (Comedy)
Set some centuries in the future, “The Kip Dupree Story” relates the life and untimely demise of Kip Dupree, rock heartthrob, gifted musical genius and overall madman. From his time in an experimental psychiatric ward to the glory days leading up to his mental breakdown to the fallout after his premature release, the series creates a quite unbiased, empathetic picture of the toils of stardom in a cruel time of technological worship and the almost inhuman alienation it perpetuates. The ending, quite a cliffhanger leaves more questions than it provides answers. “The Kip Dupree Story” is a touchstone in forecasting the future trends of Rock’N’Roll culture. This production may indeed be the last saving grace for the increasingly chaotic music industry climate we all now live in. Produced, written and directed by Duncan Moore and Max Eilbacher for ARs Media and Oracle Vision Video. Special bonus feature "TV Magic" with Eric 500 included at the end of the VHS.
