Blackpool-based English singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist. Best known as frontman electronic rock band Zoo Boutique in the 1980s, "junk rock" band Uncle Fester / UFX (2000-11) and gothic psychobilly band Boneyard Zombies since 2011. Jowitt briefly replaced The Tins' Phil Denton as guitarist with Section 25 in 1979 before forming own band Final Solution who became Another Dimension and then Zoo Boutique. Vocalist/guitarist and occasional drummer with (Snakeman and) The Head Hunters 1986-88 before joining Fleetwood's Shining Sons from 1989-91. Was vocalist with Pink Torpedoes for 2 years, contributed to 5 tracks released under the name Nude Scientist in 1996 and recorded 2 CDs in 1996-97 as Mockingbone with Shaun Vincent Gair of Somewhere In England. Some other 1990s releases under the name Lewis "Cypher" were previously available only in obsolete recording formats however several are now on youtube under the name Lucifer. After 2000 released 3 albums with Uncle Fester and 3 further albums since 2006 when the band changed name to UFX. Two gothic metal EPs and several other recordings were produced in 2010 as Puppetmaster with Tony Mitchell (Kiss Of The Gypsy) before Mitchell and Jowitt formed Boneyard Zombies with members of One Way System in 2011.
