Duo Imaginaire is a German contemporary classical duo formed by clarinettist John Corbett and harpist Simone Seiler. They have been performing together since 2007, participating in numerous prestigious events, from the World Harp Congress in Sydney, Australia to the Symposium of the German Clarinet Society in Rostock. With a sparse number of original works composed for such an unusual combination of instruments, Corbett and Seiler has been creating their own original transcriptions and arrangements of masterpieces by Debussy, Beethoven, Granados, De Falla, Satie, and Bartók. Furthermore, the ensemble has been working with contemporary composers from all over the world, and had premiered over 20 new works by Frank Zabel, Stefan Heucke, Dietrich Hahne, Jörg Birkenkötter, Martin Christoph Redel, Gordon Kampe, Manfred Stahnke, Andrew Digby, Yasuko Yamaguchi, Kumiko Omura, Matthew Orlovich and many more. In October 2010, Duo Imaginaire together with Philharmonisches Orchester Hagen gave the premiere of the Sinfonia Concertante Nr. 5 - Imaginaire dedicated to them by Carlos Micháns. John Corbett and Simone Seiler had been releasing their music on Tyxart since 2012.
