Dwight David "Ike" Eisenhower (October 14, 1890 in Denison, Texas, USA – March 28, 1969 in Washington D.C., USA) was an American soldier and politician. He served as the 34th President of the United States (1953–1961) as well as Supreme Commander of the Allied forces in Europe during World War II, with the rank of General of the Army.
