Album 2016 on SHUT_INS label
Dance (Dark Ambient, Downtempo, Experimental, Glitch)
San Francisco is overgrown. It has returned to nature as humanity has moved beyond the archaic metropolis. Some have remained, coexisting with the new fauna to evolve out of the cesspool of 21st century neglect. The new society celebrates their simplicity and hermitude in the remains of a forgotten urban sprawl. The debut release by Dyegress, also known as illustrator Russel DeLeon, is a minimalist exploration into notions of our future. Carefully lacing staccato, plucky sound design with deep swimming bass and eerie atmosphere. Dyegress depicts a post-civilization existing in a more organic world than our current while still uncovering sonic artifacts which humbly nod at the technological advancements made by humanity in the centuries before (what we might call "the present"). credits released July 10, 2016 S_I001 Album art by Sarah Hammond pastelpalace.net www.dyinggiants.com soundcloud.com/dyegress instagram.com/boredinsf
