Eric Jones (born in New Brunswick, New Jersey on July 15, 1983), better known as E.Jones, is an American Hip Hop/R&B music producer from New Brunswick, New Jersey. Jones is also the 1/7 of 9th Wonder’s Production Team, The Soul Council. 2001 in the streets of New Brunswick you probably would have found E. Jones terrorizing the blacktops and preparing for his entrance into college to play basketball at North Carolina Central University. Due to injury, that opportunity came and went. His family started to worry because basketball was E. Jones’ life, but soon they would find themselves to be proven wrong. What they did not know is that basketball was the backup plan, and supplying the world with great music was his main objective. Like most kids E. Jones wanted to be a rapper or a producer. He never took piano lessons. As a Kid, Jones spent most of his days sitting in his room listening and creating music, playing the melodies by ear. Inspired by artists and producers such as Organized Noise, Pete Rock, DJ Premier, Bad Boy Hitmen, and Jimmy Jam/Terry Lewis, Jones’ has cultivated a style of production that has given him the opportunity to produce for artist such as T.I., Ludacris, Small World (DTP), Murs, David Banner and companies such as EA Sports. E. Jones is also working closely with 9th Wonder co-producing tracks for many major and upcoming artists. Jones’ most notable solo achievement to was when he landed a placement on Talib Kweli’s past releases “Eardrum and Gutter Rainbows”, the theme music to the BET show “Iron Ring”, and David Banner & 9th Wonder’s “Death Of A Pop Star Album. Jones now resides in Raleigh, NC where he’s part of 9th Wodner’s Production, The Soul Council, who are the heart and soul of 9th’s label, It’s A Wonderful World Music Group.
