A.k.a. Edgar Seepersaud
With hard-hitting tracks and rhythmic lyrics as well as a lesson-filled journey in the music game, E.G. is destined to bring dancehall reggae to a new level. E.G. whose true name is Edgar Seepersaud grew up listening to reggae music all his life, but it was at the of age 12 that the lyrical content and sound of artists like Ninja Man, Capleton and Mad Cobra made him realize that he too wanted to join the ranks of those well respected artists. In the fall of 1990, E.G. left the Caribbean and headed for New York City where he continued his musical pursuits, forming his first group "The Red Bwoys" which earned several commendations at local Staten Island, NY showcases, leading to them recording their first record, featuring "Daddy Gwon Teach Ya" and "Shooting Skills" on an independent New York label "Sounds of Kingston N.Y." He would later sign with J.D.I.R Productions as the only reggae artist on their compilation "Shaolin Style" which led to a tour across several U.S. cities.
