24 year old Quincy Lacon from the mining town of Linden, whose stage name is EGO which means Energetic, Generous & Outstanding, is pursuing his ambition in accordance with his acronym. EGO has been a member of the SSignal Productions Label for 5 years and has demonstrated that he is a team player, assisting, celebrating and encouraging the achievements of his fellow label mates. Since he busted out on the scene in 2013 he has done 9 music videos, recorded 1 album and 8 songs one of which won him the LINDEN PARTY MONARCH 2015. He was featured on the lovers rock album HIGHER LEVEL, which landed SSignal Productions a distribution deal with the American Company FOX FUSE that saw the album being sold by over 400 digital retail stores including iTunes and Amazon.com; it has been the biggest circulating distribution deal by any home based Guyanese album. He also appeared in SSignal Productions Jubilee movie THE OLE HIGUE where he played the role of the younger loving and encouraging brother to Abigail James who played the lead role as the Ole Higue. In 2015 he toured Suriname and performed at Don Julio, The Waag, and the Guyana Embassy. He also performed on the SSignal Productions Jubilee album SONGS OF GUYANA'S CHILDREN, the 2nd of 3 productions, released by SSignal for Guyana’s 50th Independence Anniversary. He was featured as the rapper on track 1 – Let us Co-operate for Guyana, which his contribution, appealed to a number of young people in the diaspora causing many to show an interest in our National Songs. The video has over 60,000 views on Facebook and counting. He is the proud holder of the 2016 prestigious Youth Award from the Guyana Cultural Association of NY. .
