A.k.a. Ethereal
Ethereal is a band from the past with a new beginning. Ethereal was formed in Helsinki, Finland in 2001 by Viktor Lindblom (vocals, guitar) and Tommi Seitajoki (guitar, keyboards). After undergoing various lineup changes and short-lived iterations, Janne Hyvärinen (drums) and Tim Norrgrann (bass, backing vocals) were added to the band. This allowed Ethereal to record an EP titled Hiroshima in 2003 with a full band in place for the first time. The Hiroshima EP combined atmospheric elements, soundscapes and progressive rock into a package that has been compared to Pink Floyd, Marillion and Radiohead. Shortly after the recording, another change in the lineup occurred with Janne Hyvärinen leaving the band and Lauri Alhojärvi joining as his replacement on drums. With Lauri, Ethereal entered in a new phase and recorded the follow-up EP to Hiroshima titled Destination in 2005. The EP was never released - until now. 12 years later... and a new beginning for Ethereal.
