Second horn section of Earth, Wind & Fire (1987-present). In 2004, Ray Brown (2) retired from the band. Since 2004, trumpeter Robert (Bobby) Burns, Jr., has assumed the role with Earth, Wind & Fire. Burns graduated from Horace Mann High School, Gary, Indiana, in 1973; and he earned a Bachelor of Music, with a major in Trumpet, from the Jacobs School of Music in 1983.
