Ed Vertov was born in Moscow in 1977 and moved to Los Angeles in 1998. In 2005 Ed and his old time friend Anton Kubikov of SCSI-9 (Kompakt) launched Pro Tez records and joined the vast Kompakt Distribution Family. Now the record label is getting worldwide recognition and with a number of releases proved to be an exquisite music vessel for young and never heard before musicians. Ed worked for years at Amoeba record store in Hollywood where he was deeply involved in electronic music department. In 2012 Ed Joined Mount Analog Vinyl shop in LA as one of the curators and buyers and left in may 2015 to set up Stellar Remnant. Stellar Remnant is a record label & online record shop based in Los Angeles, California. The Shop is curated by Ed Vertov and Lena Deen. Stellar Remnant Label is set to release vinyl only series that reflect their fascination with techno, ambient and experimental music.
