Eddie Davis began as child actor appearing in several major motion picture films with The Mitchell Boys Choir in the late 1930s and early 1940s, before becoming a restaurant owner in Hollywood, but he dreamed of working for Capitol Records with Tony Butala and Constance Ingolia (which later became known as Tonny & the Letterman and Connie Steven) however he could not get the records that resulted from his work with them. Davis decided that her passion was in the music industry. After placing almost all of the restaurant business, he gathered just enough money to started producing records, and began in 1959 to have a public interest in the recording he did with Chick Carlton & the Majestics "So You Want to Rock", but by his passion for the promotion of Mexican-American music in Los Angeles that he would be known. Since the beginning of his career as a producer in 1958 and into the 1990s, Eddie Davis (called the Berry Gordy of East Coast LA) has recorded a number of Chicano / Latino neighborhood groups in Los Angeles on his differing labels, Faro - Linda - Rampart - Valhalla - perspective with - Boomerang and Gordo. He produced, among others, The Romancers, The Village Callers, One G more 3 Cannibal & The Headhunters, The Blendels, The Mixtures, The Atlantics # 1 with the young Barry White (18) as there been a 2nd group The Atlantics (instrumental group) and many others including the SOULJERS !!
