Dutch-American guitarist, songwriter and producer, born January 26, 1955, in Amsterdam, The Netherlands. Father of Wolfgang Van Halen. He was married to Valerie Bertinelli from 1981 to 2007 (divorced). He is considered one of the best rock guitarists ever, Eddie is famous for his 'two-handed tap' technique that has been copied by an uncountable number of guitar players to this day.
