Eddy Carter is a guitarist/bassist and singer from Manchester, England. Born April 17, 1957, he started his musical career in a band called Flashback appearing on the «New Faces» talent show in 1974. A few years later he recorded with a band called Cry for Virgin Records, and also an album with Billy Hawkins for Jet Records, before playing bass with Chris Sievey and The Freshies. In the 1990s Carter worked with ex-Herman's Hermits members Garth Elliott and Paul Farnell in a new incarnation of The Casuals and also Steve Wright's Easybeats. Carter joined the Barry Whitwam led Herman's Hermits as lead guitarist/singer in April 2004, touring worldwide with the band for seven years until May 2011.
