Musician of Jazz and Pop
A.k.a. Ed Ugly-Ugly
Eddy Marron (born 1938, in Anklam, Pommern - a state since absorbed into Poland and Germany) moved to Germany at 14, and went on to study guitar in Heidelberg and Mannheim. Wanting to move away from jazz and explore new styles, he and Sylvester Levay formed the innovative Vita Nova in 1971. A further step into hybrid Krautrock with Dzyan gave him total freedom of expression and invention. Moving back towards jazz with the trio Giger.Lenz.Marron, he also recorded a surprisingly introspective album of light jazz and ethnic spiced solo guitar recordings.
