EDENSONG was founded by James Byron Schoen (guitar, vocals) and Matt Cozin (drums) in the fall of 2002 at Wesleyan University in Connecticut. This duo was soon joined by Ian Carbone (bass), Aurora Maoz (flute), and Asa Sourdiffe (violin, keyboard). After extensive touring, James Byron Schoen and Matt Cozin recruited new musicians - Rachel Kiel (flute), Mike Drucker (violin), Arthur Sugen (keyboards), and T.D. Towers (bass) - and EDENSONG started working on the material that would eventually become their debut album "The Fruit Fallen". In 2006, the band broke up due to growing tensions, and James Byron Schoen continued working on the album alone. "The Fruit Fallen" was finished, mastered by Bob Katz, and released in 2008. James Byron Schoen reformed EDENSONG then with new partners.
