Austrian composer, voice teacher, and illustrator. (1862 - 1918). Chiefly remembered as the writer of dance melodies that have served others as the basis of transcriptions. The best known of these is the violinist Fritz Kreisler's "Aus Wien," followed by arrangements of dances made by the great pianist Ignaz Friedman.
