Album AU 2003 on Radioland Recordings label
Spoken Word (Experimental)
A joint release. The first 4 tracks are by Educational Survey and are constructed from bits and pieces of early tape and reel-to-reel recordings. The last track was recorded under the name ArtPoetry who performed an historic experimental sound composition 'The Turntable Incident', believed to be the earliest known example of turntablism recorded (live-to-air) and released on cassette in Australia. It was issued in a boxed set titled, Men Of Ridiculous Patience, as part of a live series on the radio program Contemporary Editions, transmitted from 2MBS-fm Sydney in March 1983. ArtPoetry continues his adventures & explorations in sound to this day under an expanded linguistical concoction called Artesian Poetry. Their CD-R Album released in June 2006 is titled, Stricken Dumb Continued (RR05). Educational Survey & ArtPoetry are one and the same operator. Description = This is the first compact disc release from Radioland Recordings.
