In 1985 they participated in the 4th edition of the RNE Pop-Rock Music Contest, 'Don Domingo', along with five hundred other groups, reaching the final and finishing in fourth place. The winners were Semen-Up, followed by Mercedes Ferrer and Restos (2). That same year, El Correo del Zar recorded the songs 'Oda' and 'Moe Tropel' for the Lp compilation IV Concurso Don Domingo, which was published by RNE. The band broke up in 1986, but two years later they released 'En las orillas de La Alcazaba', 'La magia de un burdell' and 'Un día de Julio (para las dos Españas)' as part of the compilation Malagueños 2, published by Cambayá Records with the sponsorship of the Diputación Provincial de Málaga. José Ojeda (2) joins La Alternativa in 1988 and then Harry Octopus, until 2000. He is also a member of Santos de Goma as arranger, guitarist and accordionist and bassist/accordionist for the band Gastmans. He has composed soundtracks for short films, documentaries and several commercials.
