Band, ES
The band starts on 2010 with David and Alejandro, later, Gonzo and Luis join in order to set the current line up. What started as a cover band of the spanish band Parálisis Permanente, is now a well settled underground band with an unique identity and sound. Fear, vice and rot... That ́s how the concept of the band could resume. The band takes it ́s name from Guillermo Fadanelli ́s book El día que la vea la voy a matar. Just as the book, their lyrics talk about everyday situations , outcasts and weird beings whom inhabit the chaotic and violent Mexican environment. The bands insists on leaving behind stereotypes and censorship. The name has caused controversy, it has even closed some doors for the band due to the political context of the country. However, the band in any way accepts or endures any kind of aggressions or gender violence, they speak out about a harsh reality that can ́t be ignored . The band has several influences , each member listens to different things, which become creative contributions for the songs. Some of the bands they ́re most influenced by are : Bauhaus, Christian Death, Parálisis Permanente, José José, Mecano, Eskorbuto, Los Nikis, Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds, Lonard Cohen, among others. Currently El día que la vea la voy a matar is working on it ́s first LP, they ́re also having regular live shows.
