El Retorno De Los Brujos

Band, *2001

A.k.a. El Retorno de los Brujos

EL RETORNO DE LOS BRUJOS is an instrumental prog-rock trio from México D.F. which was born in 2001 from the ashes of the band MEDUSA. In 2002, the band produced their debut album, “Conspiración a la Luz del Día” influenced by the 70’s progressive rock groups like King Crimson, ELP and Yes, amongst others. In 2003, El Retorno De Los Brujos were invited to contribute a double-disc compilation "Ce Ehécatl Rock-Arte-Sonoro" by Smogless Records and Grupo Arte Sonoro. In 2006, the band produced their second album "La Reforma", a conceptual opus dedicated to the Mexican Liberals during the reformist period of 1855-1860. In 2009, El Retorno De Los Brujos decided to take a new direction in music and invited a singer Jorge Ivan Juarez Ruiz to join the line-up.
