Album BR 2016 on Tropical Twista Records label
Electronic, Latin, Folk, World and (Experimental, Latin, Electro)
Rooted internationally between Brazil and the UK, ElPeche presents sounds with influences from UK bass to brazilian and latin beats resulting something which could be described as Low Tropical Techno. Resident at Sonido Tropico (São Paulo) for the last two years, he focuses on brazilian and latin rhythms accompanied by strong and sometimes dirty basslines. The Calorzito EP came to life as a study of this mixture, always taking in to account the dance floor. Calorzito, the first track, carries well that latin infusion and is structured in a very bass rich electronic way. Gossa was created from the idea of using a more oriental as eastern sample and putting it into the latin context, taking you into an intercontinental sound trip. Last but not least, Pablito came together as ElPeche played around with the voice of Wagner Moura in the character of Pablo Escobar in Narcos. As a first solo EP, Calorzito reflects very well one of the main focuses of ElPeche in the past two years of his career: the importance of the dance floor in the latin underground music scene!
