Elasmo was formed in Gothenburg around Christmas 1998, by Nicolas Janco (Drums) and David Sundquist (Guitars) after ending their previous band Shallow Soundwave They recruited Anna Hammarstrand (Vocals) from Skara in early 1999. She used to play in indie band Sense and sang in choirs. She works as actress and theater pedagog. They continued as a three-piece until later in 2000-2001, when they added David's younger brother Jonas Sundquist on bass. Demo song "What To Follow" was reviewed in April 1999. Demos songs "Dealing With Dogs", "Speed Of Light" and "Play My Game" were reviewed in September 1999. The demo song Out of Time was reviewed in October 1999. The demo song Beat of Commotion was on Swedish Radio P3 rotation in november 1999 Two demo songs were released digitally on their website (captured 2001-05-11): "Animal Boy", "Please" Live concerts: 990623, first gig ever. Between May and July 2001, Anna left the band and Elasmo morphed into the next project, Fireline Angels, with the three remaining members plus Sarah Assbring on vocals.
