Electronic and Rock
Electric Pigs is hardcore\breakcore band from Odessa, Ukraine. Biography: Its all have started because of passion for breakcore and actually creation of Aaron Spectre. A young and prospective musician Vlad Smirnov (Lawyer), who has been successful in writing of breakcore remixes on songs of such bands as Soulfly, Ill Nino, Static-X, decided to exceed the limits of such music performance. Together with a childhood friend and (by pluralize) a guitarist Andrey Malishev, and also with singer Max, he started live-project “Frontcore”. The idea was to play breakcore by live band, i.e. to combine an electronic rhythm section with a live vocals and guitar. The group started to rehearse. Collective creation turned out to be productive. Few songs were written in breakcore/hardcore style, which immediately became the most listened, they are Neoprotestant, Illness (joint work with musicians of a.Rose) and Tourettes (Nirvana cover). Invitations to play on the parties started to come from different cities of the Ukraine. Very soon guys, who are energetically and emotionally acting on the stage, became known in Ukrainian electronic underground get-together. Some time later there were some changes in the band – Arthur replaced Andrey. King Arthur, as we jokingly call him, was a breath of fresh air for group creation. So group decides to change name on Electric Pigs. Together with a new guitarist recorded their debut album – Food Chain, which consists of ten songs, which people have already liked long time ago. And it was produced not on anything, but on vinyl! Because initially were oriented on DJs, who were playing breakcore. Then an accumulation of a new material began. Arrangements have changed. Now, hard guitar riffs coexist with guards triplets. And the sound of the band became more spacious and atmospheric.
