This is a release by the band Electronic Eye Machine, who were a precursor to the Brewis brothers' main band Field Music. Other projects involving the Brewises include The New Tellers, School Of Language, The Week That Was, Slug and Frozen By Sight. The song 'You're Not Supposed To' would later be re-recorded by Field Music and released on the compilation 'Write Your Own History' as well as being released as a single. The version here is a different recording and does not have the choral prelude of the later version. The Hyde brothers of fellow Tyne & Wear band The Futureheads are featured as musicians here.
