A.k.a. Mike Schofield
Drumming since his birth in 1976 and DJing since he got KMD's "Peachfuzz" in 1990, ElekTro4 took his lifelong love for music a step further when he started producing in the late 90s. ET4's full-length debut "Keystroke One" on Bully Records had a warm reception from bedroom DJs to club DJs worldwide. His music can also be heard in various skate and snow videos as well as television shows like "The L Word" and "This American Life". In addition to his solo ventures he has worked with DJ Signify, Billy Martin, Celph Titled, the1shanti, DJ Killa-Jewel, and Prolific, to name a few. Besides a slew of recent remix work, ElekTro4 released "Afi's Song" on Organik Recordings in 2010. Beautifully pressed on white vinyl with hand printed covers, this release was one of Organik's fastest selling records to date. He is currently in the studio with bands and emcees working on new releases including several vinyl/digital projects due out in 2015. In fall 2015 Headrums Records will release ElekTro4's second album titled "Archaeometry". A resident of New York City, he also works in visual design and consulting when not roaming around the city in search of toys, food and women with freckles.
