The Swedish singer and lyricist Elisabeth Lord was born in Björkvik on February 21, 1947. Elisabeth Lord's long singing career as vocalist in bands started early in Görans Qvartett in 1961. During the rest of the 1960s, Elisabeth Lord also made it to the Swedish charts as a singer with a couple of melodies. In 1971, she started her first of, up to this date, two own orchestras. But, singing with other orchestras also continued. And, in the mid 1980s, Elisabeth Lord met pianist, keyboardist and composer Tommy Gunnarsson. A new phase started, and their first effort together resulted in a hit for Streaplers in 1987. In 1990, Elisabeth Lord married Tommy Gunnarsson, and then she also began her long time writing collaboration with Tommy as Elisabeth Lord & Tommy Gunnarsson, or as T. Gunnarsson - E. Lord. Anyhow, in that constellation they have written more than 400 songs. One of them being Symfonin in 1990. Furthermore, Elisabeth Lord and Tommy Gunnarsson have won the Swedish Grammis award twice in the dance music category. In 2011, Elisabeth and Tommy also received a Guldklaven - SKAP-stipendiet 2011 award together for their long time achievements of producing and creating new songs.
