Band, 2009-2013 US, Minneapolis
Electronic and Pop
Initially a US duo hailing from Minneapolis, Elite Gymnastics became the solo project of James Brooks with the departure of Josh Clancy (in charge of visual aspects of the project) in August 2012. On July 29th 2013, James Brooks announced Elite Gymnastics is "technically a defunct project" while releasing the first tracks by his new project, Dead Girlfriends. James announced a name change of this new project, amidst controversies, which is now called Default Genders, thus keeping the D G initials appearing on the artwork of Stop Pretending.
