Elliot Dix is a pseudonym for Irving Kaufman. Airplane pioneers James C. Fitzmaurice, Ehrenfried Günther Freiherr von Hünefeld, and Hermann Köhl flew the Junkers W22 plane "Bremen" that successfully crossed the Atlantic for the first time ever from east to west between April 12 and April 13, 1928.
