Single DE 1994 on RCA Victor label
Rock (Rock’n’Roll)
This CD is a very limited edition of 70 copies. Issued in 1994 by BMG Germany and given to the delegates of the BMG International conference, Venice/Italy, June 11th to 15th, 1994, to commemorate the 40th anniversary of That's All Right. The liner notes are by Klaus Schmalenbach, director of BMG International. A highly collectible item since it was not really a promo release in the usual sense. The cover (front and back) duplicates in full color the RCA Victor reissue of the 45rpm version of “That’s All Right Mama / Blue Moon Of Kentucky” in 1955. The back of the enclosed insert includes a brief account of the recording of this groundbreaking release by Klaus Schmalenbach from BMG International , Munich. The 45rpm labels of “Good Rockin’ Tonight” and “ I Don’t Care If The Sun Don’t Shine” are reproduced in black and white on the center pages. The sleeve also states “For Private Use Only - Not For Sale -Not For Broadcast”. The CD itself duplicates the “That’s All Right” Label in full color. CD has a large silver center.
