EMEX is the emergent techno project of George Apergis who is the owner of Modular Expansion. EMEX signature sound is an eminent mix of hard techno beats, minimal acid synth-lines and dub chords. EMEX released on Modular Expansion, Credo and Syxt Records. EMEX has released 4 vinyls on Modular Expansion. In 2015 released its debut vinyl, which entitled "00110001" and was powered by KORG, won the Silver Award at European Design Awards and in 2016 "Z80A / Source Code", both were a co-operation with Alex Retsis. One year later released "Hyperion" which is a co-operation with Studio 416. In 2018 released "ZEX EP" on Modular Expansion along-side with the releases on Credo Records of Alex Bau and on SYXT which is a fresh Berlin based label. EMEX music has been remixed by artists like Alexander Kowalski, Brian Sanhaji, Subjected, Developer and George Apergis. Also, the EMEX music has been supported by world-class artists such as Chris Liebing, Marcel Dettmann, Luke Slater, Tommy Four Seven, DVS1, Rødhåd, Jeroen Search, Jonas Kopp, Bas Mooy, The Advent, Ilario Alicante, Slam, Jeff Rushin to name but a few. EMEX has already performed alongside artists such as Drumcell, Monoloc, Truncate, Terence Fixmer, Ø [Phase], Shifted, Answer Code Request, Subjected, Brian Sanhaji, Distant Echoes and Psyk. The result of EMEX success are the performances at Berghain, Tresor, Suicide Circus and Sisyphos, the legendary Clubs in Berlin and of course at the most prestigious clubs in Athens.
