This is a rather commercial release by pianist Emil Palame but it does include some fine jazz solos and catchy melodies. Palame's tasteful piano is a highpoint and there is some decent if unadventurous playing by Sam Riney on tenor and soprano who at times on the session resembles Ernie Watts (and on "Concetta" Kenny G). Unfortunately the rhythm section (bassist Wade Short and drummer Bob Leatherbarrow) seems content to remain on automatic pilot throughout and this pleasant program (just 32 minutes) is inexcusably brief for a CD.
