Emit is an English ambient/black noise project, formed in 1998 by Unknown I. During the first ten years of Emit's existence the music changed from raw and bizarre black metal/noise improvisations in the beginning to a more sophisticated experimental/ambient approach in the later years. In 2007/2008 Emit ceased to exist by changing name to Hammemit. In 2012 however, Emit returned with a new release and their first live performance.
