Empier's "Studio X" is a street-style nostalgic masterpiece, and it is nothing short of a refreshing collaboration of original beats and unmatched lyricism. The gangster, yet pleasantly soulful, rhymes brought out by Docman, TBronz, and Babyboy remind listeners why they are hungry go-getters in a dog-eat-dog industry. However, it's the smooth ballads JK, Jay Shale, and Meetchie that sing raw and uncut emotion and compliment their rugged counterparts. From the subtly booming tempo in the hard-hitting track "These..." to the intimate feel-good jam "Me and You", this mixtape hits all the notes just right.
