Empess Shema began playing music in Tokyo in 1998 as a pioneer DJ of UK ROOTS in Japan. She came to UK in 2002 and She learned studio work plus producing music. Her 1st release was Empress Dub on King Alpha label release in 2007, Followed by another 2 releases. In 2010 Empress Shema began collaboration with Chazbo @ Conscious Sounds Studio, Releasing 6 titles on Roots Temple, Reggae on Top plus Roots Revelation labels. Also releasing 3 titles with Ras Iwarriyah on IWA Records. In 2011 Empress Shema created her own label " Name by Nature Productions " Releasing 7 singles with Norris Man, Singer Jah, Touch A Gold, Bobo David, Good Head, Frass Judgement, Congo Judah from Chop chop Productions in Jamaica. Her future plans include album with Chazbo. Releases with Sizzla ( Savona Records ) Roots Youths Records plus many more artists and focus on her record label.
