Band,
Ender & Valentine formed in the space between two roommates in Brooklyn, NY. The walls just weren’t thick enough to keep their respective sounds from mixing. We can thank a rickety spiral staircase for bridging the gap between Nadya singing along to her old records and tinkering on her ukulele during the day & Alex scribbling lyrics on his notepad and writing songs on his guitar at night. It didn’t take long to ignite the spark that formed Ender & Valentine. Their connection is easily heard in the sound they create together. When both of their vastly different voices hit, you’re experiencing the almost telepathic connection of their namesake. Layered vocals and lyrics about technological isolation characterize their first EP “Sparks” recorded with Steve Wall at Gardentone Studios. Given free reign to create within the space of Ender & Valentine’s songs, Steve added a signature electronic touch that amplifies and doesn’t distract. With the songs recorded, mixed and mastered all that was left was to create an identity. Everything from their logo design down to the cover artwork on their EP was created with love by their friends. That’s how the project started and that’s how it will go on. Ender & Valentine continue to create and collaborate with friends and artists. They plan to enter the studio to record their first full length later this year.
