Engürdetz was formed in 1986 by Drajan and Lanchy. The ambition was to create experimental noise, influenced by contemporary bands such as Einstürzende Neubauten, Whitehouse, The Residents, Nurse With Wound and Throbbing Gristle. The recordings were made on a modified cassette deck with a microphone, guitar and amp, a couple of effect boxes, drum machines and some radio and video samplings
