ENNIO was never one to be easily pinpointed within the binary of mainstream and underground. In both his productions and his sets he always felt equally comfortable with the strange and experimental, as he did with more accessible sensibilities. Constantly striving to lend a kind of auditory resonance to the disparate creative influences that shaped him, thereby unifying fields spanning from philosophy to various forms of visual art. In his DJ Sets he playfully skips from polyrhythms to 4-to-the-floor and navigates through seemingly counterintuitive shifts in mood and intensity. Recklessly creative and highly versatile, yet firmly focused in his approach. 
 
 With the worldwide success of his previous releases, he gained input and support from the likes of Jimmy Edgar, Roman Flügel, Bambounou and Disclosure, while receiving heavy airplay on BBC Radio 1. His talent quickly began to open doors and took him to play and create music for the fashion weeks of Tokyo, London and Berlin. The prestigious label Defected Records placed his music on its Most Rated Ibiza 2015 and he landed himself a residency at Ibiza's Sankeys, where the eclectic and unpredictable nature of his sets moved its team to publicly praise him as a DJ "in a league of his own". He went on to embark on a whirlwind of gigs in venues all over the world, from Europe through Russia, as well as Asia and all the way to Australia. While the last year turned into a period of contemplation spawned by a very personal setback, 2017 sees a newly invigorated ENNIO. Back with a fresh 12-inch EP, chosen as the premiere release on its brand new, De Sluwe Vos-helmed imprint Patron Records, a residency at Hamburg's acclaimed PAL, his selection for the Red Bull Music Academy Bass Camp of 2017, he is set on exploring a multitude of creative avenues. From reestablishing himself as a producer and songwriter for other artists to creating various independently organized cross-media events, focused on showcasing the ever changing fluidity of artistic expression and providing a platform to new and promising international artists. For 2017 ENNIO is laying the groundwork to make his impact be felt with a slate of yet more diversified endeavors and kick things into an even higher gear.
