Album FR 1990 on Disques Du Solstice label
Classical (Medieval)
Full title: Monodies et polyphonies extraites du Codex Calixtinus Manuscrit compostellan du douzième siècle Total duration: 47:38 Recorded at the cadre des carrières Arnaudet à Meudon (Hauts-de-Seine) from the 10th to 13th September 1985. Mastered at Studio Translab. Publishing date given on the CD as 1985 / 90 Though sharing much of the same repertoire this is a completely different recording to the same group’s later album “Le Grand Livre De Saint Jacques De Compostelle” from 1993. Composer credits from the booklet notes. Confusingly the Benedicamus Domino I “for the ordinary vespers outside Eastertide” by Droad is titled Benedicamus Domino III in the same groups later recording, likewise the piece by Gauthier here titled Benedicamus Domino III is titled Benedicamus Domino I in the later album. Droad’s Benedicamus Domino II “for Saint’s days” is given the same title in both releases.
