A.k.a. Scoen
Born in Rome in 1934, tenor and soprano saxophonist and composer, he begun studying music at 17, improving his studies supervisored by Ivan Vandor. In 1956 he had his first jazz experiences and in 1958 he officially came out with the "Modern Jazz Gang". His first musical experiences are San Remo and St. Vincent Jazz Festivals of 1961. He performs at Comblain La Tour and Montreaux Festivals as well as in many other concerts with SCOPPA-SANTUCCI QUINTET. Besides playing with several, different Jazz Groups with many Artists such as Romano Mussolini, Kenny Clark, Collatina, Mareello Rosa, Eddy Palermo, he's always been part of Nunzio Rotondo Band with which he attended Festivals in Pescara, Padova, Bergamo, Ischia and many concerts, meeting with a huge, personal success both with audiences and Jazz eritics who spent a lot of enthusiastic words to comment and describe his performances.
