Eolune was a Boston area post-punk art rock band that used loops and electronics in a fashion reminiscent of Mission of Burma. The band was founded in 2007 by Corey Wade and David Hunt. Lacking a drummer, they begin experimenting with using loops as a replacement for that function, and evolved a style that merged these into their rock style. However, Eolune was joined in performance by many talented drummers, notably Jonathan Schmidt of Haerts, Morningwood and Big Data. As a trio, they recorded two EPs, following which Corey and David decided to take the band in a new direction and changed the name to Undersea in the process.
